See you Winter 2015/16!

February started strong: Since my big journey is only a couple nights away, I decided to spend my last hours in Austria doing what I love most together with the people I like most…Obviously snowboarding. From January 29th to Feb 7th, I gypsyed around Schladming, Bad Hofgastein and Dienten, three awesome places to go snowboarding in Salzburg and Styria. (the first two used to be my homespot for the last two seasons.) My days were filled with snowboarding, good music, beer, loads of hugs and good moods: My personal paradise.

I cannot put into words how much I appreciate some of the friendships I have made along my snowboard journey – thinking of the Schladming girls crew always puts a big smile on my face!

So my last day of this season was spent on Hochkönig, Salzburg, where I went hiking with a buddy of mine. It was such a good day for so many reasons: Our first hike was on a mountain where we were not quite sure if were even able to ride it at all, since the wind was pretty strong on the night before and the avalanche risk was a 3 on a scale from 1-5. However, after some thinking, interpreting the wind signs and picking out the safest lines, we decided to do it. With adrenalin and 100% focused we rode the first lines, enjoying the amazing fluffy snow and knowing that everything was according to our plans. That feeling makes me appreciate my life, health and economic situation so much. I seriously could not be more grateful.

All in all, the weather behaved well and gave me a couple of opportunities to ride some powder. I met a bunch of people whose company I enjoy, I had a couple of beers, I laughed, I hiked and I chilled. Life is good!
